Windows Longhorn aka "Vista" Beta 1
So I finally took a little time and installed Longhorn/Vista onto a virtual machine. There were no problems during setup, in fact I was very impressed with the GUI that accompanied the setup process. However I was disappointed when I actually booted into w
Windows. It basically is an enhanced Windos XP. I thought it had a very "MAC" look to it but other than some nice viual styles I really could not tell a big difference from XP. One thing I do not like is the way it handles network logins. You have to specify your domain in the username box which I feel like is asking a lot from some network users. Also, the tabbed browsing in IE 7 could be implemented better (if you are going to rip it off from Firefox then at least make it work the same). I will do some more playing and maybe I will find some features that change my mind.
